Ward Knowles extends accreditations with ISO standards.

Ward Knowles gains ISO9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 accreditations.

Ward Knowles is proud to have achieved ISO9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety Management System accreditations, in addition to their already existing FSC certification.

This reaffirms the commitment of the company to good working practice and its strategy to be a supplier of choice to the Trade market.

The certifications are a credit to the Ward Knowles employees who have worked hard in implementing new processes and strategies across the factory.

Since being acquired, investments have been made at the Lancashire site, including refurbishment of both the factory and the offices. The business has also improved its corporate image with an updated brand identity and purpose built website, providing clients with clear direction to the products on offer, with the opportunity to submit quotes online.

Peter Moore, Operations Director for Ward Knowles comments: “The changes that have been made in the last six months have literally turned our business around. It has taken a great deal of hard work and determination to get to where we are now.”

He adds: “We have a renewed focus for 2010 and want to start out as we mean to go on – positively. Our customers have been very supportive and we know that they will benefit from the improvements that have been put in place..”
