The Paragon Group, the European Print and document management specialist, has boosted its business portfolio with the acquisition of BemroseBooth, the ticketing and card manufacturer.
The deal, which has taken place for an undisclosed sum, will see Paragon take immediate responsibility for the Hull and Thornaby sites of BemroseBooth, complementing its portfolio of businesses and expanding its extensive product offering, with the introduction of UK based market leading ticketing facilities.
As a global provider of ticketing and RFID products, for some of the world’s largest urban transport organisations including more than 80 train, metro, bus and motorway companies, the acquisition will allow Paragon to further develop and enhance its position within the identification market.
European Sales and Marketing Director, Iain Black said: “We are looking forward to working with the teams at Hull and Thornaby and to calling upon their extensive skill base, which will complement Paragon’s existing experience within this sector, adding further value to our supply chain.”
He continued: “BemroseBooth adds a new dimension to what we already deliver and we are looking forward to developing the business and moving it forward, working with existing clients and creating new relationships. The capabilities that BemroseBooth offers means that we can continue with our development of market leading products reinforcing our strength within the sector.”
Within recent years Paragon has made a number of acquisitions in the UK, the most recent of which was Ward Knowles. In addition the company has extended its European presence, with investment in the purchase of Lithotech, reinforcing its position as the largest print supplier in France.
